Yuba Raj Subedi: Postdoctoral Fellow
Yuba Raj Subedi is a Postdoctoral Fellow with CSIRO Agriculture and Food and is based in Brisbane, Australia. He is currently working on the dynamic benchmarking of the Australian food system and developing a framework to assess the performance of the Australian food system.
Yuba recently completed his PhD at the University of New England, Australia. His research explored the underlying drivers of agricultural land abandonment and its reutilisation options in the hill agroecological region of Nepal.
With over six years of research experience, Yuba has collaborated with multidisciplinary teams of scientists from Asia, Europe and Australia on projects related to sustainable agriculture, land use change, food security, food systems, migration, and climate change. He is deeply passionate about engaging in multidisciplinary and applied research that creates positive impacts on society and nature.
In his spare time, Yuba enjoys traveling to new places to explore diverse cultures, histories, and scenic landscapes. He enjoys cooking and cherishes spending quality time with family and friends.
