Drivers of the food system

This project identifies and analyses drivers of the food system and seeks to understand how they affect the food system and its outputs.

Our research

The project explores different types of drivers of the food system to find and understand key leverage points and interventions that could potentially trigger change.

It uses a variety of methodologies and analytical techniques to understand the food system and the changes that could be made to improve the nutritional, environmental or social performance of different food system domains.

Benefits of our research

The food system is complex and dynamic and necessary to all people for life, health and nutrition. Understanding drivers related to food and food science will contribute to identifying and understanding ways that change can occur to improve the outputs of the food system.

The Drivers of the food system project is funded by CSIRO and The University of Queensland.
