Local foodshed resilience: Insights from the Lockyer Valley-Brisbane foodshed
FSH Webinar
FRIDAY, 15 August 2025
12:00 to 1:00PM AEST
ONLINE MS Teams
Local foodsheds play a vital role in supplying fresh, nutritious food to rural and urban communities, while supporting regional economies and social connections. Enhancing their resilience to disruptive events—such as floods, droughts, and pandemics—is essential to safeguarding these benefits. In this webinar we share the results of a study that looked into the resilience of the Lockyer Valley–Brisbane (LVB) foodshed, which experienced multiple overlapping disruptions over a five-year period.
Join us in this webinar as we hear about lessons for strengthening local foodshed resilience in other contexts and inform the development of integrated strategies to support food system sustainability and preparedness.
